This week in our Little Stars Seniors class, we have been having lots of fun exploring numbers! With many of our Little Stars getting ready to start school next month, we thought it would be the perfect time to focus on recognising numbers, counting and developing our early mathematical skills through fun and hands-on activities.

We enjoyed a variety of exciting activities throughout the week! One of our favourites was exploring numbers on water-filled gloves, where we added numbers to the fingers and practised counting in a fun and sensory way. We also had great fun searching for numbers hidden on large sheets of paper, finding the correct number and circling it using the corresponding colour.

Another activity involved building towers and patterns with blocks. Each child was given a sequence of numbers and had to carefully follow it to create their own block construction. This was a fantastic way to practise number recognition, sequencing and concentration while also encouraging creativity and problem-solving.

We have had such a wonderful week full of learning, laughter and teamwork! It has been fantastic to see how enthusiastic the children have been when exploring numbers, and we are so proud of all their efforts. Well done, Little Stars Seniors!
